Christmas tree inspiration

So with a bit over a month left until we decorate the Christmas tree, we always do this on December 1st, I'm looking for a little inspiration.

Every year I like to have a bit of a theme or colour scheme in mind.

Last year I let the kids go nuts & do what ever they wanted & I must say it was a bit of a Hodge podge tree( no offense kids!)

My family like to tease me & call me the "tinsel police" ,because, I like the tree to be perfect, so last year I stepped back & let them go for it.

Lets just say.... It nearly killed me!!!

I will be having a little control say in the decorating this year

Bwah ha ha ha ha!!!

The moons & stars on this gorgeous tree are actually baked from cookie dough. 

 I don't think I would like to hang actual cookies from my tree for a month, here in Australia I would fear an ant infestation would feast upon my tree, or worse still I may end up with mice, but if you pop on over to

The five year project

Jenny has a fabulous idea that would give you a similar look, that isn't edible!

Now this one really ticks a few boxes for me....pardon the pun....it is decorated with clock faces.

I do have a little clock addiction, so I think something like this could be fun & VERY ME!!!

Does any one know where I could come across some little clock faces ?

Apparently over sized decorations are the key to a glamorous looking tree!

I'm not sure if its the tree I love in this home or the decor, what a beautiful room to relax in!

I think I saw a ghost chair !

Who doesn't love the look of a ghost chair?

I have previously mentioned how much I adore them & several fellow bloggers have informed me that they are indeed comfortable, SOOO, eventually I will be letting my dream guy know that YES his crazy wife really does want to purchase a couple of these very stylish but virtually invisible chairs!!!

Having a complete lack of interest in anything design related, including fashion, I'm guessing he will scoff at the mere mention of spending his hard earned cash on anything that isn't a tool or doesn't catch a fish, but, fear not fellow bloggers & decorators, nagging, whining & giving the cold shoulder work a treat for this little princess, just don't tell him, LOL!!!

A Clock Review

A few weeks ago I received  an email  from Buyster an on line store that sells an amazing amount of home furnishings, lighting ,rugs & decorator items, asking if I would like to do a product review.

As you can imagine, being a new comer to blog land I was pretty excited to be given this opportunity, I was also excited by the thought of receiving a FREE product for my efforts!!!

Any way as you know I love clocks so here is what I chose to review...

Nextime Aaltje wall clock

It comes in various sizes, but I chose one that was 25cm in diameter

& here is how it looks with a few of my own things.The outside rim is matt black with an antique finish & the face is a yellow based cream so it goes perfectly with my decor.

Because we are only renting I haven't hung it on the wall but I will in my dream house.

I have to say the service from Buyster was great, delivery was prompt & my lovely clock was packaged really well.

 Mmmm I think I will order a fabulous replica ghost chair next!!!

Does anybody already own one of these, how fantastic does it look at your house?

Does it look as gorgeous as this one, mirror furniture is definitely on my wish list as well!!!
